Responsibilities
- Develop automated UI tests using Playwright with TypeScript for business-critical workflows.
- Build and maintain REST/GraphQL API automation and backend or service-based test automation.
- Use Claude and Codex agents and skills for test generation, test data creation, and failure triage.
- Translate quality requirements into automated test coverage with engineers, product managers, QA partners, and other stakeholders.
- Create and enhance CI/CD test integrations for high-volume transactional workflows.
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues, flaky tests, and failing API contracts, and deliver stability improvements.
- Optimize test execution performance and pipeline throughput.
- Document test coverage, implementation details, dependencies, and test results.
- Support deployment, release validation, post-release monitoring, and improvements to testing workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews, test reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and reduced manual testing effort.
Requirements
- Requires 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience in test automation, backend development, or related application development.
- Requires hands-on Playwright experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for automated test suites.
- Requires experience developing or supporting REST/GraphQL API automation and backend or service-based test automation.
- Requires exposure to building agents and skills with Claude and Codex for testing problems.
- Requires working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and cloud application deployment concepts using AWS or Azure.
- Requires understanding of object-oriented design, testing, debugging, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Requires experience in Agile or iterative development environments with cross-functional teams.
- Requires the ability to analyze technical issues, communicate clearly, and contribute practical solutions.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
