Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Workday inbound and outbound integrations.
- Build integrations between Workday and payroll, time tracking, benefits, finance/ERP, identity management, and third-party systems.
- Use Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrations, EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services.
- Develop XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, SOAP, REST API, and SFTP/file-based integration solutions.
- Design Workday Orchestrations to automate business processes across multiple systems.
- Gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable integration designs.
- Configure and troubleshoot integration events, schedules, error handling, and performance issues.
- Perform end-to-end integration testing, defect resolution, deployment support, and production monitoring.
- Prepare technical design documents, deployment guides, operational support documentation, and code-change documentation.
- Assess Workday release impacts, test integrations, and implement required changes.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, technical, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute independently as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Workday Core Integrations.
- 15 years of full-time education and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Workday Core Integrations and experience with Workday integration design patterns and related middleware technologies.
- Experience with Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrations, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Business Process Framework, Workday Security, Calculated Fields, and Workday Reports.
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, SOAP, REST APIs, SFTP, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Experience with integration design and architecture, data mapping and transformation, error handling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, or Benefits domains.
- Experience integrating Workday with SAP, Oracle, ADP, ServiceNow, Azure AD, SuccessFactors, or custom applications.
- Workday Integration Certification is preferred.
- The stated experience range is 3–6 years for a Workday Integration Consultant.
