Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for software functionality, performance, scalability, integration, regression, and security.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks for system-level, service-level, end-to-end, backend, and front-end applications.
- Identify, reproduce, document, track, and help resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Perform API testing, including validation of contracts, payloads, error handling, and service dependencies.
- Test containerized microservices and validate Kubernetes deployments, service-to-service communication, configuration changes, and scalability behavior.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support validation of applications across development and deployment environments.
- Conduct manual and exploratory testing where automation is unsuitable, including testing for edge cases.
- Use version control and test management tools to maintain test scripts, cases, documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, DevOps teams, and testers on test planning, strategy, priorities, and defect resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, automation strategies, tools, and frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience testing distributed, microservices-based applications, including test strategy definition, design, execution, and maintenance.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions across service-level and end-to-end integration testing.
- Proficiency coding automated test suites for backend services and consumer-facing applications, with emphasis on service interactions and failure handling.
- Solid experience with RESTful API testing and validation of contracts, payloads, error handling, and dependencies.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Experience supporting and validating applications deployed through CI/CD pipelines.
- Good experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, TestRail, Git, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Robot Framework, Python, and other frameworks used for microservices testing.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, microservices concepts, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to write clear test cases, maintain accurate documentation, and track test results and quality metrics.
