Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical leadership to strategic customers designing and implementing big data projects.
- Architect production-level workloads, including end-to-end pipeline performance testing and optimization.
- Support data engineering, model deployment, troubleshooting, debugging, query tuning, and performance tuning.
- Identify initiatives that help customers convert data into business value and align technical work with business goals.
- Deliver customer tutorials, training sessions, hackathons, and conference presentations to promote community adoption.
- Provide architecture, design, implementation, and technical roadmap guidance for Databricks platform expansion.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark and experience using Databricks across several large-scale projects.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
- More than five years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Experience designing and implementing big data technologies, including Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience designing and using cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with development tools for CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation and orchestration, REST APIs, BI tools, and SQL interfaces such as Jenkins.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting roles.
- Desired experience in Data Science or ML Engineering, including model selection, model lifecycle, hyperparameter tuning, model serving, and deep learning using tools such as MLflow.
- Business fluency in English and German and the ability to communicate with strategic stakeholders and leadership.
