Responsibilities
- Solve difficult software problems and develop innovative solutions, reusable modules, patterns, and prototypes.
- Release and validate software while developing deployment patterns as needed.
- Lead software support, incident resolution, and blameless reviews.
- Guide code and design reviews and help establish software development standards.
- Provide technical documentation and demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor team members and help develop their capabilities.
- Identify and help address technical debt and process issues to improve team delivery flow.
- Participate in an on-call rotation when applicable, including possible nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise solving innovative software development problems.
- Expertise with programming languages, frameworks, and platforms such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular, or AWS.
- Experience developing software modules or patterns used across multiple teams.
- Expertise designing integration tests, leading software releases, and providing ongoing support.
- Experience facilitating Agile practices and artifacts such as user stories, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
- Experience mentoring and developing others and providing technical thought leadership.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Preferred: seven years of professional software engineering or similar experience.
- Preferred: cloud development expertise or advanced cloud provider certification.
- Preferred: experience designing or refining continuous integration and continuous delivery and an Agile certification.
