Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient, secure backend systems and services.
- Architect distributed solutions using microservices, event-driven systems, and domain-driven design patterns.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Lead backend design discussions and make architectural decisions.
- Optimize performance through caching, efficient data handling, and bottleneck analysis.
- Work on large-scale data processing, high-throughput systems, and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps, and frontend teams on end-to-end delivery.
- Drive code quality, engineering standards, reviews, and best practices through mentorship.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in one or more of Java with Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and understanding API versioning best practices.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
- Proven experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and distributed systems design.
- Experience designing fault-tolerant and highly available systems.
- Expertise with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Expertise with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of load balancing, caching, performance tuning, and system bottleneck analysis.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of domain-driven design, serverless architectures, security best practices, OAuth2, JWT, Zero Trust concepts, and observability tools is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical leadership capabilities.
