Base Salary

$189k - $248k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in designing and architecting Snowflake’s Cloud Data Platform within enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives, technical contributors, strategic prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Demonstrate Snowflake technology and communicate its value throughout the sales cycle, from demonstrations and proofs of concept through design and implementation.
  • Work with sales teams to understand customer needs, navigate sales cycles, support enterprise proofs of concept, and help close business.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and position Snowflake accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of architecture and data engineering experience in the enterprise data space.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales environment, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
  • Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions and conduct deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks.
  • Broad experience with large-scale database and data warehouse technologies, data integration, analytics, and cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on development experience with SQL, Python, Pandas, Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, and other big data technologies.
  • Experience with data integration tools for building data pipelines, including Apache NiFi, Matillion, Fivetran, Qlik, or Informatica.
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, and Kinesis.
  • Experience designing interoperable data lakehouse architectures and working with Iceberg, Delta, and Parquet.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
