Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services with resilient error handling and retry mechanisms.
- Debug distributed applications and microservices, analyze logs, metrics, and traces, and resolve reliability and performance issues.
- Support production environments, incident management, problem resolution, post-incident reviews, uptime, and operational reliability.
- Implement structured logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, distributed tracing, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
- Build and deploy Docker container images and manage applications in Kubernetes, including troubleshooting pods and deployment failures.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical design and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combinations of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may be considered.
- Strong Python development and backend software engineering experience.
- Experience with API-based integrations, distributed systems troubleshooting, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience with observability, application support, monitoring, alerting, logging, metrics, and basic distributed tracing.
- Preferred familiarity with environment variable management, secrets management, Azure Key Vault or equivalent solutions, secure configuration, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, technical design reviews, and test-driven development.
- Exposure to emerging AI and large language model technologies.
