Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support AI-enabled platform capabilities, APIs, backend services, and reusable software enhancements.
- Translate product requirements and implementation feedback into scalable, maintainable, production-ready systems.
- Build prompt patterns, agent integrations, extraction workflows, model integrations, retrieval capabilities, and interoperability patterns.
- Develop backend services and API-enabled capabilities using Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and related frameworks.
- Support AI quality measurement, evaluation methods, prompt optimization, reusable implementation patterns, and document extraction improvements.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, diagnostics, incident readiness, and production support.
- Apply secure development, data handling, access control, auditability, responsible AI, reliability, performance, and scalability practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Solution Engineering, Application Engineering, Platform Reliability, Solution Architecture, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Own assigned features, services, defects, and technical improvements from design through production support.
- Use AI-assisted development practices for coding, testing, documentation, refactoring, code review preparation, and engineering analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing production software, APIs, services, backend capabilities, or AI-enabled platform features.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience building production APIs, backend services, integrations, or reusable software capabilities.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, model integration, retrieval, extraction workflows, evaluation methods, or agentic patterns.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, source control, code review, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong understanding of software design, testing, code quality, maintainability, security, performance, and production readiness.
- Preferred experience includes product-led or platform-based organizations and cloud-native development or support in Azure, AWS, or comparable environments.
- Preferred experience includes low-code or hybrid development, enterprise interoperability, document processing, structured extraction, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, or AI quality measurement.
- Familiarity with modern UI frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or comparable frontend frameworks is preferred.
- Background in energy, infrastructure, renewables, assurance, certification, or other technically complex industries is preferred.
- Security and compliance with applicable statutory requirements are essential, and background checks will be conducted on final candidates.
