Responsibilities
- Develop AI agents and experiences that take actions for customer organizations.
- Design prompts, reasoning flows, tool calls, and integrations using Salesforce’s agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end, from architecture selection through production deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build solutions with customers and partners, and share implementation best practices.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience; 6–10 years for Senior levels.
- At least one production system experience and a background in AI technology, full-stack development, or frontier models is preferred.
- Required prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Experience managing and delivering customer-facing projects in public-sector, higher-education, or nonprofit environments.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, including evaluating and improving failed prompts.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects and to ship quality code while evaluating AI outputs rigorously.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data platform experience, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
