Responsibilities
- Develop solutions for complex test automation and release engineering needs.
- Architect and evolve testing frameworks and libraries.
- Build intuitive tools, modules, services, and supporting infrastructure to improve developer and tester productivity.
- Automate Android-based CollabOS software and features, including test infrastructure and environments.
- Design and execute testing for HDMI, video quality, audio quality, and USB functionality.
- Build and run test environments and evaluate testing tools according to organizational needs.
- Collaborate with software development and QA teams to deliver effective testing tools.
- Guide and mentor the QA team and advocate for strong programming, design, and testing practices.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of software development experience.
- Extensive programming experience with Python and web frontend libraries such as Vue and Vuetify.
- Experience testing firmware or operating systems on webcams, drones, Android devices, or A/V systems.
- Proficiency with HDMI, video quality, audio quality, USB, and debugging Android with adb.
- Experience with Linux, macOS, and Windows systems.
- Experience writing software, supporting tools, services, and applications using OpenCV and GStreamer.
- Strong object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms coding skills.
- Experience with automation tools such as Android UIAutomator, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Experience building and running test environments and applying software testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in software QA.
