Responsibilities
- Build scalable, reliable, and low-latency infrastructure processing millions of events for financial crime detection.
- Design and implement feature topologies involving graphs, support vectors, and time-series data.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to develop fraud, AML, and risk features.
- Drive adoption of the centralized platform by partnering with teams to migrate and govern existing risk logic.
- Expand self-service capabilities and ensure risk signals are robust, consistent, and governed.
- Solve technical and customer problems end-to-end by identifying opportunities, gaining stakeholder alignment, and implementing solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Java 11+ and fluency in Java 21.
- Familiarity with Python or willingness to learn it on the job.
- Experience with batch or stream processing, preferably Apache Spark and Flink/Kafka Streams.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL document databases.
- Experience with distributed systems spanning multiple microservices, Kafka, scattered data, and ownership boundaries.
- Hands-on knowledge of system integration patterns.
- A strong product mindset, customer focus, problem-solving ability, and end-to-end ownership.
- Preferred experience with large-scale data pipelines, feature engineering and serving infrastructure, graph algorithms, embedding techniques, data governance, Apache Iceberg, Trino, and graph databases such as Amazon Neptune.
