Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, install, and support application systems and programs.
- Analyze code and applications to identify system enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Design, test, debug, and implement programming solutions using JVM-based technologies.
- Consult with users, clients, product owners, and technology groups to understand requirements and recommend solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues using technical judgment and established precedents.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
- Manage delivery quality and timeliness while operating with limited direct supervision.
- Assess and escalate risks while supporting compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- Requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, including experience in an Applications Development role.
- Hands-on experience with JVM-based development using one or more of Kotlin, Java, Scala, or Clojure.
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, microservices, containerization, and cloud engineering.
- Knowledge of HTTP and REST architectures, Pub/Sub messaging architectures, relational databases, and SQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and Amazon Web Services is beneficial.
- Requires problem-solving, decision-making, clear communication, deadline management, and collaborative working skills.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics is preferred.
