Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to identify shared challenges and deliver platform solutions.
- Evolve Depop’s iOS architecture and modernise the application incrementally while supporting product delivery.
- Build and maintain shared frameworks, tooling, and foundational application components.
- Mentor engineers and promote quality through reviews, testing, and technical guidance.
- Influence technical direction through engineering standards, design discussions, documentation, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Substantial experience building production iOS applications with Swift and evolving iOS versions.
- Deep understanding of Swift, including memory management, async/await and actors-based concurrency, and state management in complex application flows.
- Production experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Experience with MVVM-C or similar coordination patterns and strong architectural judgement.
- Experience maintaining automated unit, integration, and broader application tests using Swift Testing.
- Experience with modularisation, dependency management, application performance, and build-time optimisation.
- Experience with Bitrise, GitHub Actions, merge queue workflows, observability, release health, application reliability, or platform-wide technical initiatives is preferred.
