Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering leadership to deliver Zopa’s mobile strategy and shape iOS technical standards.
- Design and evolve shared modules, APIs, architecture, and developer tooling for multiple engineering teams.
- Use data, profiling, and observability to identify technical risks and improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Deliver production-quality Swift and SwiftUI code across platform and customer-facing product work.
- Raise the capability of other engineers through pairing, code reviews, technical discussions, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Android colleagues on technical and product decisions.
Requirements
- Strong experience building and maintaining customer-facing iOS applications with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Deep knowledge of iOS development, including concurrency, performance, memory management, testing, accessibility, and security.
- Sound architectural and API-design judgment focused on maintainable solutions and developer experience.
- Ability to identify problems, shape practical solutions, and influence improvements beyond the immediate team.
- Collaborative communication skills, including constructive challenge, coaching, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Preferred experience includes fintech or regulated environments, shared libraries or platform capabilities, UIKit, mobile CI/CD and release processes, developer tooling, and thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools.
