Responsibilities
- Build, architect, and maintain resilient, performant, accessible, and customer-focused Flutter mobile experiences.
- Write readable, well-structured, testable code and produce clear technical documentation.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the mobile application lifecycle.
- Own code quality and maintainability while identifying anti-patterns, technical risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership through architectural decisions, pairing, code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing without line-management responsibility.
- Unblock engineers and help resolve complex technical problems across the team.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to turn customer needs into mobile product improvements.
- Apply accessibility considerations throughout product development and support inclusive mobile experiences.
Requirements
- Production experience shipping, releasing, and maintaining mobile applications for real customers.
- Substantial production Flutter experience, or a strong native mobile background combined with significant Flutter project experience.
- Strong mobile DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and app store deployment.
- Advanced software engineering skills, including code reviews and identifying anti-patterns and maintainability risks.
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving mobile application defects.
- Knowledge of reactive state-management patterns and mobile architecture.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and ability to document and communicate designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building products on top of a design system and using or extending shared component libraries appropriately.
- Working knowledge of mobile accessibility practices and relevant standards.
- Strong communication, collaboration, autonomy, initiative, and ownership skills.
- Native Android Kotlin or iOS Swift experience is preferred.
- Experience in finance, investing, or another regulated domain is preferred.
- Experience with backend-for-frontend architectures and design systems or shared component libraries is preferred.
- Comfort using AI coding tools with sound judgment about their appropriate use.
