Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end features for player engagement products including leaderboards, tournaments, missions, prize draws, rewards, and automated CRM campaigns.
- Develop Java backend services including REST APIs, event processing, caching, scheduled jobs, and database migrations.
- Develop back-office web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate with platform services for bonuses, loyalty, wallets, and player data.
- Write unit and integration tests, review code, and maintain backward compatibility for APIs and events.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and help prepare releases.
- Estimate and refine stories with business analysts and QA.
- Validate, refine, and take ownership of AI-generated coding output.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial development experience with Java.
- Commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience with event-driven and distributed systems, including Kafka and Redis.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, preferably MariaDB.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins, WebSockets, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker, Helm, Consul, Vault, and Apache Karaf/OSGi or similar technologies.
- Experience with system design, troubleshooting, debugging, Git workflows, JUnit, and Testcontainers.
- Experience with contract-first API development using REST/OpenAPI and JSON Schema is preferred.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
- Domain experience in iGaming, betting, CRM, loyalty, or gamification is preferred.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English communication skills.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code and validating their output.
- Proactive ownership, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
