Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug Java applications, services, and components for DAZN’s streaming platform.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver software solutions.
- Optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing Java applications.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs.
- Maintain clear documentation for code and technical designs.
- Stay current with Java technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–8 years of relevant programming experience with Core Java.
- Proven Java development experience, including Java EE or Spring Framework.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud computing platforms.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other software development methodologies is preferred or beneficial.
