Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end system design and architecture for large-scale distributed, cloud-native platforms.
  • Define architectural standards, patterns, technical blueprints, architecture decision records, and deployment approaches.
  • Decompose monolithic and COTS systems into maintainable in-house services and platform capabilities.
  • Write production-quality frontend and backend code, APIs, real-time communication layers, and high-throughput data pipelines.
  • Build agentic AI systems, multi-step workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and AI-native product capabilities.
  • Apply prompt engineering, model evaluation, responsible AI, DevSecOps, testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive adoption where they create measurable value.
  • Influence technical direction across multiple teams, represent the organization in architecture forums, and coach engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 14 years of hands-on software development experience across frontend and backend systems.
  • At least four years of experience in a senior or lead architecture role.
  • Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems in production.
  • Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform, with AWS preferred, and experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerization.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, or Rust, with the ability to work across the full stack.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend development, databases, APIs, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience building production-scale agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, LLM integrations, and prompt-engineering solutions.
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, software architecture, API gateway patterns, domain-driven design, and system decomposition.
  • Ability to influence technical direction across teams, communicate through architecture documentation, challenge assumptions, and coach engineers.
  • Preferred qualifications include regulated-industry experience, familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, or SOX, open-source or technical publication contributions, platform engineering, developer-experience tooling, and enterprise multimodal AI experience.
