Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development.
- Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs for business and user needs.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide user and operational support to business users.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and evaluate system design and functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and install or assist with customer-facing systems.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure required procedures are followed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, advisor, and coach to senior stakeholders and lower-level analysts.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, and control risks appropriately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with Java, J2EE, and microservices.
- Experience with systems analysis, software application programming, and developing and enhancing large Java applications.
- Experience managing large volumes of data.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Experience with standard CI/CD tools.
- Experience using LLMs and other generative-AI tools to improve productivity.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of applications development.
- Banking and capital-markets experience is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
