Responsibilities
- Own problems from initial description through production delivery, translating vague requirements into technical plans.
- Use generative AI, spec-driven development, and agent harnesses to deliver software.
- Design and evaluate systems spanning frontend, backend services, APIs, and data layers.
- Review agent-generated code, identify risks and trade-offs, and maintain quality and production readiness.
- Work with the Tech Architect, product managers, and engineers to resolve blockers and make technical decisions.
- Lead a team and communicate architecture, options, and delivery considerations.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- Experience leading a team, either through formal reports or as a tech lead without a reporting line.
- Experience working across multiple software layers rather than specializing in only one area.
- Hands-on experience with spec-driven development, agent harnesses, sub-agents, and reusable skills or custom agents.
- Experience with tools or frameworks such as GSD, BMAD, SpecKit, Claude Code, Kiro, or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to work across frontend behavior, backend services, API design, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node, Python, relational databases, and document databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and comfort with Docker.
- Ability to set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment and familiarity with logging and observability tooling.
- Ability to design systems, review existing codebases, and assess AI-related cost, latency, and failure modes.
