Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise retail customers to understand their technical environments and workflows.
- Design, build, and deploy AI solutions tailored to customer needs across Instacart's platform.
- Integrate Instacart's AI capabilities into customer ecosystems, even when systems are undocumented.
- Collaborate with R&D to inform product evolution and address platform gaps.
- Work closely with the AI Solutions Architect to translate requirements into software.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, function calling, and agent frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python or another backend language used in data-intensive environments.
- Ability to integrate with complex enterprise data environments.
- Experience with external enterprise customers in a consulting capacity.
- Strong knowledge of retail and e-commerce system fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings.
