Base Salary
$221k - $387k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of core AI Control Tower platform components.
- Translate complex product requirements into scalable, observable technical plans and failure-recovery patterns.
- Drive the product from early release through customer adoption using customer feedback and iterative development.
- Establish AI-native engineering practices, including AI-assisted code review, automated testing, and AI-agent-oriented platform design.
- Conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to long-term platform strategy.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives and collaborate with Product Management, Design, partner engineering teams, and senior leadership.
- Remain hands-on with code while operating at the highest architectural level.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience shipping and scaling complex enterprise-grade SaaS products.
- Deep experience with cloud-native SaaS architecture, multi-tenant design, large-scale APIs, Kubernetes, observability, and multi-cloud platforms.
- Expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and operational observability.
- Expertise in database schema design, data modeling, and relational, graph, vector, columnar, OLAP, and streaming data architectures.
- Direct experience building and shipping products from zero, with hands-on involvement in code and architecture decisions.
- Proficiency across the software engineering lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, debugging, security, and using AI to improve delivery and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to influence architecture and lead cross-team initiatives without formal authority.
- Hands-on mastery of software architecture and implementation.
- Preferred experience with governance, observability, compliance, auditability, enterprise risk frameworks, or regulatory requirements.
- Preferred familiarity with agentic system operations, including tool reliability, context windows, failure modes, and cost optimization.
- Preferred enterprise security, IAM, or data governance experience.
- Preferred familiarity with AI interoperability standards such as MCP and OpenAPI.
- An MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field is a preferred qualification.
