Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed delivery teams.
Modernise and evolve complex legacy systems.
Design solutions for scalability, maintainability, security, and high performance.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Support delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards across teams.
Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and future architecture decisions.

At least 7 years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE/Jakarta EE.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
Experience leading legacy-system modernisation and working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Docker, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote working after onboarding, with an initial 2–3 week stay in Dresden and approximately one week of business travel to Dresden each quarter.
