Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing software components.
- Build and integrate AI agent features and MCP tools for the platform.
- Participate in code and documentation reviews and mentor the team on development best practices.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, designs, and estimates.
- Evaluate tools, technologies, and processes to improve software quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot code-level problems and resolve complex programming and design issues.
- Contribute to secure, scalable, available, and maintainable application architecture.
- Identify architectural risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and technical debt elimination.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and operations on platform development and maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building APIs with Python or Node.js.
- Experience with AI agent tools and frameworks.
- Experience building and integrating MCP tools.
- Strong knowledge of API standards, graphs, and web services.
- Experience translating requirements into designs and building reusable modules.
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with agentic experiences, AI automation, AWS Bedrock, Strands, large-scale production systems, and distributed asynchronous systems.
- Preferred: experience with AWS and services including SQS, SNS, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, RDS, and ElastiCache.
- Preferred: familiarity with SDLC practices, Agile/Scrum, continuous integration and delivery, and modern development practices.
