Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and realize functionality in the Android Automotive domain.
  • Develop and own multiple Android Automotive modules and components.
  • Modify Android framework components, system services, and the Android SDK.
  • Deliver software for integration and support component ownership.
  • Implement defined test strategies and document results.
  • Perform pre-integration testing and verification for the assigned functional area.
  • Collaborate in an agile cross-functional team and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience modifying Android framework components, system services, and the Android SDK.
  • Overall 3–5 years of professional experience.
  • Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and related build systems.
  • Strong understanding of Android Automotive System and the Car Framework.
  • Strong understanding of Android components including Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, and Treble Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of software development and testing life cycles.
  • Expertise or working knowledge in one or more in-vehicle infotainment system domains.
  • Strong leadership, planning, organization, and mentoring skills.
