Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product, service, and feature code with minimal supervision.
- Review product and test code for quality, standards compliance, and appropriate test coverage.
- Evaluate architecture and design options and provide feedback on proposals.
- Create and execute test strategies, including security testing and regression prevention.
- Apply security best practices and maintain live-site service operations during rotational on-call coverage.
- Collaborate with product, privacy/security, and technical stakeholders to determine customer and user requirements.
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience delivering software on Smart TVs, set-top boxes, video streaming devices, or similar platforms.
- Preferred: experience with security-sensitive or cryptographic systems, certificate handling, and secure coding practices.
