Senior Software Engineer (Python, Go, Java) - Collection Engineering
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Lead and deliver Collection Engineering projects from concept through implementation across SentinelOne’s security platform.
- Design architecture and develop backend modules and cloud-native microservices using Python, Go, and potentially Java.
- Build data collection capabilities for EDR telemetry, XDR telemetry, forensic data, and script orchestration or Remote Operations.
- Develop systems operating at large scale across millions of endpoints and servers and processing hundreds of billions of events daily.
- Design solutions based on product requirements and lead projects across multidisciplinary backend, frontend, and endpoint teams.
- Develop unit and component tests as part of the software development process.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience and proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience developing high-performance backend systems based on microservices and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or comparable cloud technologies.
- Experience building or working with data pipelines and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to design solutions from product requirements, communicate effectively, and work in hybrid or remote teams.
- Proven experience developing unit and component tests.
- Experience with Kafka ecosystems, large-scale SaaS products, performance engineering, Terraform, or Terragrunt is preferred.
