Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android modules for the App Vender and shared libraries.
- Integrate with SDKs for Stone’s POS platform and support critical sales, billing, NFC-e issuance, and printing flows.
- Design and maintain software architecture using MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
- Work on multi-module projects, dependency injection, Gradle configuration, and build pipelines.
- Implement local persistence, networking, offline-first synchronization, and connectivity failure handling.
- Develop background processing and lifecycle components using Android Services, BroadcastReceiver, WorkManager, and ForegroundService.
- Write unit and integration tests for ViewModels, Flow, and asynchronous behavior using mocks or fakes.
- Work with Git branching strategies and configure or troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to observability, analytics, health metrics, and dashboards when applicable.
Requirements
- Solid experience with native Android development using Kotlin; Java experience sufficient to navigate legacy code is required.
- Deep knowledge of Coroutines and Flow, including scopes, cancellation, StateFlow, SharedFlow, backpressure, and asynchronous-flow testing.
- Practical experience with MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and architectural trade-offs.
- Experience reorganizing modules in multi-module projects and using Gradle version catalogs, flavors, build types, and buildConfigField.
- Experience with Hilt or Dagger dependency injection in multi-module projects.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, state management, recomposition, performance, testability, and legacy XML.
- Experience with SQLDelight or Room, Retrofit or OkHttp, offline-first strategies, synchronization, and connectivity failure handling.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with MockK, Turbine, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Android Services, BroadcastReceiver, WorkManager, and ForegroundService.
- Experience with Git branching and configuring or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with POS terminals or embedded systems, thermal printers, hardware SDKs, payment flows, NFC-e, idempotency, observability, Grafana, GCP, Looker Studio, AOSP, firmware customization, or Kotlin Multiplatform is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI and prompt engineering applied to development, automation, and analysis is advantageous.
