Responsibilities
- Lead complex, ambiguous projects end-to-end with multiple stakeholders.
- Identify problems, shape solutions, and drive execution independently.
- Collaborate with teammates across various countries using async-first practices.
- Contribute to cross-cutting engineering initiatives and shared product primitives.
- Make thoughtful tradeoffs balancing business priorities and technical sustainability.
- Raise the bar for code quality, system design, and operational excellence.
- Help shape Vanta’s engineering culture as part of a distributed team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-stack experience with strong backend expertise.
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional projects from scoping to delivery.
- High agency and self-direction, comfortable operating independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in distributed environments.
- Experience building user-facing SaaS products for startups and enterprises.
- Track record of building 0→1 products and scaling systems in fast-paced settings.
- Open to using AI to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
- Experience with Typescript and GraphQL is a plus.
