Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks with TypeScript and Playwright.
- Develop functional, integration, and API tests for backend services and application workflows.
- Create clear, comprehensive, and maintainable test cases.
- Debug test failures, application issues, and backend behavior to identify root causes.
- Support automated test execution through CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute independently to production backend code using Java or Kotlin.
- Apply software engineering and test engineering practices to improve product quality and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong test engineering and automation experience.
- Hands-on experience developing backend services using Java or Kotlin.
- Advanced TypeScript skills and hands-on Playwright experience, including test framework development and maintenance.
- Experience writing functional, integration, and API tests.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Ability to contribute independently to production code, not only test code.
- Enterprise experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerized services, microservice architectures, performance testing, reliability testing, accessibility testing, contract testing, REST APIs, Git, pull-request workflows, CI/CD platforms, or web and mobile web testing tools is a plus.
