Responsibilities
- Translate approved solution concepts into end-to-end technical architectures covering components, data flows, integrations, APIs, model and agent selection, and non-functional requirements.
- Define and maintain reusable reference architectures, guardrails, and technical standards for engineering teams.
- Evaluate models, vendors, frameworks, and cloud platforms and recommend build-versus-buy options with documented trade-offs.
- Design how solutions access, move, secure, and integrate company and business data.
- Incorporate information security, data classification, governance, and responsible-AI requirements into solution designs.
- Produce buildable technical designs and support engineers through implementation as their technical counterpart.
- Stay current on AI platforms, models, agents, tooling, and emerging architecture patterns.
- Advise business partners, engineers, and leadership on feasibility, risk, effort, and sequencing.
- Partner with enterprise architecture, information security, and platform/DevOps teams to support governed delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in solution, software, or enterprise architecture; ML/AI engineering; or technical solutions/pre-sales engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing production systems and setting technical direction for others to build against.
- Experience designing end-to-end architectures for AI/ML or data-intensive systems, including components, data flows, integrations, non-functional requirements, and security.
- Strong command of LLMs, agent frameworks, retrieval/RAG, orchestration, tool integration, and AI-augmented development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, and modern delivery tooling such as Git-based version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Ability to create clear architecture artifacts and communicate them to engineers and executives.
- Working knowledge of enterprise security, data classification, and responsible-AI requirements.
- Preferred experience with contact center or CX technology, including Five9 or comparable platforms, or applying AI to CX.
- Familiarity with responsible-AI, model-risk, and enterprise or solution architecture review practices.
- Experience defining reusable architecture patterns or platform standards for delivery teams.
- Experience working at the business/technology boundary in an enterprise-AI, platform, or transformation function.
- Google Cloud or enterprise-architecture certifications are preferred.
