Base Salary

$138k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and business stakeholders to design, implement, and monitor OpenSearch database solutions.
  • Write, test, and deploy Python software supporting machine learning products and tools.
  • Design, deploy, and manage prompt-based LLM models for NLP tasks in financial services.
  • Research prompt engineering techniques and use LLM orchestration and agentic AI libraries to improve model performance.
  • Build and maintain structured and unstructured data pipelines and cloud-based data processing workflows.
  • Develop frameworks and tools for prompt-based model training, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Develop APIs and integrate NLP and LLM models into software applications.
  • Analyze model performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business solutions.
  • Communicate technical ideas and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing prompts or building chatbot applications.
  • Advanced SQL and NoSQL knowledge, including OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, and/or Apache Lucene.
  • Experience with Git, version control, deployment processes, containerization, and CI/CD.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data processing.
  • Experience developing APIs and integrating NLP or LLM models into software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure for AI/ML deployment and data processing.
  • Familiarity with LLM orchestration, agentic AI libraries, and MLOps tools and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Preferred familiarity with model fine-tuning techniques such as DPO and RLHF.
  • Preferred knowledge of Java and Spark.
  • Preferred knowledge of financial products and services, including trading, investment, and risk management.
