Responsibilities
- Lead the full rebuild of existing native mobile applications using React Native.
- Define mobile architecture and establish scalable, maintainable code structures and best practices.
- Set up mobile CI/CD pipelines covering builds, testing, distribution, and store deployment.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation and improve quality.
- Establish mobile testing, release management, monitoring, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders on the mobile experience.
- Expand the mobile product scope and mentor the mobile team as it grows.
- Track React Native ecosystem, mobile platform, and AI tooling developments.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional mobile development experience.
- Expert-level React Native and TypeScript proficiency, including navigation, state management, native modules, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to bootstrap mobile projects, make architecture decisions, establish CI/CD, and deploy applications to stores.
- Experience building and shipping production applications on both iOS and Android.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- Strong understanding of native mobile platforms and bridging when required.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Experience with automated mobile testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with mobile performance profiling, crash reporting, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to own a technical domain, make autonomous decisions, communicate trade-offs, mentor developers, and establish engineering practices.
