Responsibilities
- Lead presales and pursuit architecture and solutioning for mid- to large-scale pursuits.
- Gather client requirements and translate them into SAP technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Create end-to-end solution architectures, including current-state, transition, and target architectures and roadmaps.
- Shape RFP responses, solution write-ups, client presentations, and pursuit designs.
- Assess technical delivery feasibility, costs, risks, emerging technology impacts, and business value.
- Identify technology gaps and collaborate with innovation, product, delivery, and global service teams on mitigation plans.
- Establish presales standards, guidelines, procedures, reference models, and architecture documentation practices.
- Maintain relationships with delivery and competency-center teams and ensure implemented solutions follow approved designs.
- Coach business owners and pursuit leads, contribute to the presales community, and onboard new architects.
- Influence product backlogs and priorities based on presales and pursuit findings.
Requirements
- 15+ years of technology, business development, and thought leadership experience.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong SAP technology knowledge and experience with deal development, architecture, strategy, or technology start-ups.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-technology, data, and analytics deals.
- Experience across application, infrastructure, digital, and security technology, including technical, data, application, and integration architecture.
- Experience responding to RFPs, shaping client proposals, writing solutions, and delivering client presentations.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and ability to work with global customers, partners, and teams.
- Strong business acumen, strategic customer relationship skills, technical leadership, risk identification, and mitigation planning abilities.
- Leadership, negotiation, influencing, networking, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience working across offshore/onsite models, geographies, and cultures.
- Agile Delivery and DevOps certifications or experience are desirable.
- TOGAF or IASA architectural training or certifications are desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 service management, especially service strategy and design, is an advantage.
- Ability to influence without authority as an individual contributor.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $138,200 to $266,000 in all US geographic locations, with a range of $165,800 to $302,300 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.
