Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and automated test suites for frontend and backend web applications.
- Own test coverage from requirements analysis and precise test-case creation through successful deployment.
- Develop test automation with Playwright and TypeScript and integrate tests into the GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
- Perform interface testing using REST/JSON and validate communication between microservices.
- Advance shift-left testing and experiment with AI-driven test-case generation and self-healing tests.
- Coach developers on testability and establish shared quality standards such as BDD.
- Ensure non-functional requirements covering performance, security, and accessibility in collaboration with Product Owners and development teams.
Requirements
- Completed technical university studies, ideally in computer science, or an equivalent qualification such as IT specialist training.
- Several years of solid quality-assurance experience with modern web applications and knowledge of failure sources in complex frontend and backend architectures.
- Strong practical knowledge of Playwright, TypeScript, Git, Docker, and orchestrating tests in GitLab CI.
- Experience using Jira/Xray and Confluence to manage test cycles and document test results.
- Knowledge of agile processes and modern testing methods including exploratory testing, regression testing, and BDD/Gherkin.
- ISTQB certification or public-sector experience is desirable.
- Good communication skills in German and English at a minimum B2 level.
