Responsibilities
- Configure, develop, maintain, and support Micron and third-party enterprise applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Design and implement scalable application security solutions for a worldwide enterprise.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core 8.
- Use Azure services including App Service, Key Vault, Blob Storage, Application Insights, Static Web Apps, and API Management.
- Diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues involving asynchronous code, caching, retries, and timeouts.
- Write and maintain unit tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with IT, information security, technology, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude while validating, testing, and refactoring generated code.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily with C#/.NET.
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core Web API, including middleware, dependency injection, configuration, and options patterns.
- Practical experience applying SOLID principles and object-oriented design.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including App Service, Key Vault or equivalent secrets management, Blob Storage, Azure Managed Instance DB, Web Jobs, Functions, and Application Insights or comparable monitoring tools.
- Experience with asynchronous implementations and with building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with Redis or similar distributed caching technologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, joins, schema changes, parameterization, performance, indexing, and locking.
- Basic working knowledge of Angular and the ability to make small changes in an existing application.
- Unit testing experience with xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest and mocking frameworks such as Moq or similar.
- Git-based version control and CI/CD pipeline experience, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: API gateway experience with Apigee or Azure API Management; legacy .NET Framework modernization; IoC containers such as Unity or Autofac; resiliency patterns such as retry and circuit breaker with Polly; security issue remediation; regulated enterprise manufacturing or facilities experience; and AZ-204 or similar certification.
