Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction of WHOOP's web experiences.
- Lead cross-functional projects from brainstorm to post-launch analysis.
- Design and execute A/B tests with proper instrumentation and measurement.
- Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability across devices.
- Write clean, well-tested, production-quality code in TypeScript/React/Next.js.
- Author and review technical plans, identifying architectural tradeoffs.
- Mentor and develop other engineers through code review and technical guidance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Contribute to Growth's engineering culture through documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks (Next.js preferred).
- Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional web projects.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and edge computing.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with payment systems (Stripe preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to design and run meaningful A/B tests.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Datadog or Sentry.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
