Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, develop solution strategies, and ensure integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and contribute to technology communities.
- Apply secure coding practices and effective unit testing to protect data and improve software reliability.
- Modernize core platforms and shape technology products supporting future business requirements and digital customer experiences.
- Lead or guide complex assignments, collaborate across functions, communicate complex information, and manage technology-related risks and controls.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, JUnit, REST, microservices, SQL and NoSQL databases, and object-oriented software development.
- Experience with Oracle or MongoDB, OpenShift or Kubernetes, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, Wiz, and Maven or Gradle.
- Working knowledge of messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ.
- Experience with rapid application development using AI models or tools such as Claude and GitLab Duo.
- Understanding of computer science, object-oriented design, and data structures through a Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding.
- Payments domain experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders, apply risk and control practices, and communicate complex information.
