Base Salary
$85k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight across applications and systems and review proposed technical solutions.
- Contribute to application-development strategies, standards, and architectural decisions.
- Build highly scalable and performant software platforms for data computation and processing.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of business integration, organizational technology, and competing products.
- Monitor delivery of application-development outcomes and ensure essential procedures are followed.
- Use data-driven communication to influence senior leaders and manage stakeholders and people.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in the financial-services industry.
- Senior-level experience in an applications-development role.
- Stakeholder and people-management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Apache Spark, Python, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience using Apache Spark with Java.
- Experience with caching solutions such as Pinot and Redis.
- Strong Oracle database knowledge, including schema design and query optimization.
- Knowledge of architecture across multiple related areas, Big Data, grid computing, data warehousing, cloud computing, and programming languages.
- Strong leadership, communication, persuasion, diplomacy, and senior-stakeholder influence skills.
- Finance-domain knowledge is a plus.
