Responsibilities
- Deploy, customize, and extend Vannevar’s agentic software modernization platform for refactoring, architecture modernization, testing, and software delivery.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for government and industry customers and translate mission requirements into technical outcomes.
- Design and deliver software solutions with engineering, product, and mission teams for complex systems engineering challenges.
- Analyze large software architectures, development workflows, and technical constraints to identify modernization opportunities.
- Develop technical recommendations, demonstrations, and modernization plans for AI-enabled software engineering adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and deploying production systems across the Department of War or Intelligence Community.
- Experience translating customer or stakeholder mission requirements into technical solutions and leading complex discussions with engineers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience with modernization, integration, or sustainment of large-scale software systems.
- Proficiency in one or more of TypeScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps, DoD Risk Management Framework, and NIST 800-53.
- U.S. Persons status and a current Top Secret U.S. DoD or IC clearance are required.
- Preferred experience includes Ada, CMS-2, legacy systems languages, coding agents, software engineering agents, code intelligence systems, agentic developer tools, LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, Model Context Protocol, Agent2Agent, software architecture reviews, systems engineering, requirements management, verification and validation, and work with defense primes or government program offices.
