Base Salary
$182k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks solutions.
- Embed with customer teams, collaborate with stakeholders from technical contributors to executives, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Coordinate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, customer teams, engineering, and customer support to deliver technical engagement components.
- Provide product and implementation feedback and contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence the product roadmap.
- Manage technical project scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes while completing billable projects to specification.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications.
- Experience with technical project delivery, including scope, timelines, measurable outcomes, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to explore technologies supporting Databricks-based deployments and integrations.
- Databricks Certification.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government Secret clearance are required; active Secret or higher clearance is strongly encouraged.
