Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, debug, and deliver secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive adoption, governance, validation standards, and reuse of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and automation.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject-matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied software engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, with expertise in Java, Scala, and Python and experience with Apache Spark.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls in engineering workflows.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience and strong functional and object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with Git, Jira, and software engineering tools.
- Preferred experience includes Databricks, data analysis and machine learning tools, React, Angular, Vue, serverless managed cloud services, cloud security solutions, and relevant certifications.
