Base Salary
$100k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prototype, design, develop, and support commercialization of embedded and cloud software solutions.
- Add features to the Android platform stack across application, middleware, and native layers.
- Integrate on-device LLMs, on-device vector databases, and AI runtimes.
- Develop and debug software for Android, embedded Linux, and Qualcomm mobile platforms.
- Perform software bring-up and analyze crash dumps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience using data structures and algorithms to ship projects at scale is preferred.
- Experience developing object-oriented software with C++, Java, or Rust is preferred.
- Understanding of operating system concepts and concurrency is preferred.
- Proficiency with Git and strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- Experience with embedded Linux and/or Android is preferred.
- Familiarity with Android SDK, NDK, Android OS architecture, HALs, security, and Treble is preferred.
- Experience with on-device AI runtimes such as TFLite, PyTorch Edge, ExecuTorch, and Qualcomm AI Stack is preferred.
- Modern C++ and/or Java experience, with Kotlin preferred, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python for AI/ML software development is preferred.
- Familiarity with ARM processors, ARM Assembly, mobile SoC architecture, hypervisors/virtualization, security, memory, storage, buses, peripherals, power, and thermals is preferred.
- Debugging experience, including software bring-up and crash-dump analysis, is preferred.
