Responsibilities
- Define the EY Fabric developer-experience reference architecture across onboarding, repositories, CI/CD, environments, testing, deployment, observability, and operational handoff.
- Create reusable golden paths, developer workflows, templates, accelerators, starter kits, documentation, and troubleshooting playbooks for post-sales implementations.
- Establish standards for GitHub, branching, code review, artifact management, secrets handling, deployment approvals, and release governance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align DevEx patterns with platform capabilities and roadmap direction.
- Identify implementation friction and convert recurring issues into reusable tooling, automation, documentation, and standardized workflows.
- Act as the escalation point for complex DevEx issues and define handoff expectations between Domain Architecture and Forward Deployed Engineering teams.
- Measure DevEx effectiveness through adoption, onboarding speed, reduced bespoke pipelines, developer feedback, and delivery repeatability.
- Maintain DevEx architecture assets in EY Fabric repositories and knowledge hubs.
- Provide technical leadership, review accelerators and golden paths, and mentor DevEx Architects and contributors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or architecture with Python or Java.
- Deep experience with software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, reusable templates, engineering standards, self-service capabilities, golden paths, or accelerators.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub, pipelines, branching strategies, release management, automation, secure software delivery, and operational readiness.
- Ability to create practical developer documentation and influence engineering behavior across distributed teams.
- Exposure to modern AI practices, including LLM and RAG concepts.
- Cloud, DevOps, GitHub, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
