Responsibilities
- Define the EY Fabric developer experience reference architecture across onboarding, repositories, CI/CD, environments, testing, deployment, observability, and operational handoff.
- Create reusable golden paths, templates, tooling patterns, delivery accelerators, onboarding models, and developer workflows for post-sales implementations.
- Develop repository scaffolds, pipeline templates, starter kits, sample implementations, onboarding checklists, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Establish standards for GitHub, branching, code review, artifact management, secrets handling, deployment approvals, and release governance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align developer experience patterns with platform capabilities and roadmap direction.
- Identify implementation friction and convert recurring issues into reusable tooling, automation, documentation, and standardized workflows.
- Act as the escalation point for complex developer experience issues affecting delivery velocity, quality, or platform consistency.
- Measure adoption, onboarding speed, developer feedback, repeatability, and reductions in bespoke pipelines.
- Maintain developer experience architecture assets in EY Fabric repositories and internal knowledge hubs.
- Provide technical leadership, review accelerators for consistency and usability, and mentor DevEx Architects and contributors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or architecture.
- Experience with Python or Java and GitHub.
- Deep experience building internal developer platforms, reusable templates, engineering standards, self-service capabilities, golden paths, or other developer platform assets.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, release management, automation, secure software delivery, and operational readiness.
- Ability to create practical developer documentation and implementation assets and influence distributed engineering teams.
- Understanding of modern AI practices, including LLM and RAG concepts.
- Cloud, DevOps, GitHub, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
