Responsibilities
- Make technology decisions, influence the product roadmap, and guide the development team through execution and operational phases.
- Define technical architecture for performant, scalable, highly available, and secure cloud services.
- Contribute to business-domain strategy and align technology vision with engineering management priorities.
- Arbitrate technology decisions across the product or platform domain and deliver working results.
- Collaborate with product management, designers, end-users, and internal teams to ensure product success.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the development team.
- Contribute code, fix issues, and develop proof-of-concepts using programming languages and software tools.
- Author technical documentation and presentations explaining architecture and design options.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-service performance, scalability, and security issues.
- Stay current with cloud computing, database technologies, and distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 12+ years of hands-on development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with large-scale data architecture, data modeling, database design, and information-systems implementation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Deep interest and experience in solving distributed-systems challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership skills and the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
