Base Salary
$125k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end from technical design through production deployment and operational excellence.
- Set the architectural direction of backend distribution APIs and services for high availability, resiliency, and performance at scale.
- Design, develop, deploy, and scale large-scale backend services in cloud infrastructure using Golang.
- Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Prioritize technical initiatives, identify and mitigate risks, and drive high-impact execution.
- Champion code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, incident response, monitoring, alerting, on-call processes, and post-incident analysis.
- Perform code reviews, uphold technical rigor, mentor engineers, and promote documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Influence AI development best practices and improve team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems in production.
- Strong experience designing and developing large-scale backend services using Golang.
- Experience deploying and scaling services within cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems such as Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.
- Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring such as Datadog and Grafana.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
- Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
