Backend Developer – Go / Golang

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Go.
- Build REST APIs, inter-service communication, data-driven services, distributed workflows, and background processing.
- Implement caching and high-performance data-access patterns for scalable backend applications.
- Integrate backend services with APIs, real-time messaging platforms, and distributed-system components.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and API tests.
- Contribute to reliability, observability, security, production troubleshooting, technical design, code reviews, and backend engineering improvements.
- Use Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to support development, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Go (Golang).
- Strong knowledge of Go concurrency, goroutines, channels, interfaces, context handling, and idiomatic Go development.
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of error handling, retries, idempotency, timeouts, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, observability, API security, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in daily engineering workflows.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience includes GCP Firestore, MongoDB Atlas, Elastic Cloud, Elasticsearch, Redis, Valkey, Temporal, Centrifugo, WebSockets, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, OpenAPI, Swagger, legacy Python integrations, AI-enabled capabilities, LLMs, AI services, and large-scale SaaS or cloud-native distributed systems.
