Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and maintain test tools, test cases, and automation frameworks.
- Plan, write, execute, and automate functional and data-validation test plans from requirements and designs.
- Develop and test software using Java and Selenium libraries.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and other technical teams on release planning and QA environments.
- Support TDD and CI/CD development and maintenance strategies for testing environments.
- Influence platform, application, and data-model design to improve testability, quality, performance, and reliability.
- Document and communicate automation framework functions, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results.
- Conduct defect identification, investigation, analysis, documentation, resolution, and closure.
- Collaborate with developers on unit-test reviews, issue diagnosis, and resolution.
- Lead or assist with data analysis for data health, consistency, and root-cause investigation.
- Estimate work, schedule tasks, and deliver against agreed project milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or two years of technical experience as an SDE/T or similar role.
- At least one year of applied professional experience with an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with the full development lifecycle, including code standards and reviews, source control, building, and testing.
- Experience developing and testing in Java.
- Experience developing tests with Selenium libraries.
- Strong experience developing and implementing end-to-end test strategies.
- Prior experience working in and understanding Agile environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels.
- Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting approach.
- Preferred: experience integrating software test automation into CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
- Preferred: experience with microservice architecture, backend testing, API testing, and Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
