Base Salary
$143k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build the reusable on-device inference framework for Life360 devices.
- Integrate inference into resource-constrained RTOS firmware without compromising stability.
- Debug on real hardware and drive cross-layer issues to root cause.
- Develop and ship ML models on device, handling quantization and optimization.
- Optimize inference for power, memory, and latency constraints.
- Drive alignment across teams on building on-device intelligence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of firmware engineering experience with a track record of shipping consumer hardware.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systems and RTOS internals.
- Experience deploying ML models on microcontroller-class hardware.
- Hands-on with embedded inference frameworks and model optimization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document decisions.
